Spectacular Sutton Village Country Markets

As part of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, on 10th September Dainere’s Rainbow Team were so fortunate and humbled to have a stall at the Sutton Village Country Markets.

We were able to raise considerable awareness of not only Childhood Cancer Awareness Month which so many people were not aware of and also childhood brain cancer which many people found the statistics and facts shocking, totally dreadful and asked why more is not been done.

We are extremely proud and grateful to announce that a grand total of $200.50 was raised through the sales of handmade items and Dainere’s Rainbow gift items. One hundred percent of the funds raised go directly to the research projects and programs set up in memory of and as a legacy to Dainere to bring hope and create change for children in Canberra and across Australia diagnosed with brain cancer.

With our heartfelt and endless gratitude to Sandie and Yolanda the organisers of the Sutton Village Country Markets , to the extremely talented and creative Patricia, Wendy, Cecily, Mark and Monique, Nalani and Sam and Jarrett who contributed astounding and beautiful handmade items or gifts for people to purchase and to those who attended and visited the Dainere’s Rainbow Stall.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land where we meet and work, the Ngunnawal people, and the many other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples from across Australia who have now made Canberra their home. We celebrate and respect their continuing culture and the contribution they make to the life of the ACT and region.

Dainere's Rainbow is a not for profit organisation - 100% of all funds raised or donated go to childhood brain cancer research at Sydney Children's Hospital
