Jarrett 2025 Finalist In 7NEWS NSW/ACT Young Achievers Awards


What an honour it is to share that I have been selected in not one, but two categories in the NSW/ACT 7News Young Achiever Awards; the Awards Australia Foundation Connecting Communities Award and the Ministry of Health Achievement in Health Award.

Since 2013, prior to Dainere’s Rainbow establishing in 2014, I have raised awareness and funds for childhood brain cancer in memoriam of my little sister, as well as inspired by Dainere, as she selflessly did while battling with her tumour. Additionally, I have created support for siblings of a brain cancer patient, as well as campaigned for the appointment of a specialised paediatric palliative care nurse in Canberra and other palliative care projects.

Though none of what I do is for recognition or to receive any awards, I am truly humbled to be a finalist in these two prestigious awards, and am looking forward to branching out with the other extraordinary finalists to spread the name and hard, dedicated work of Dainere’s Rainbow. As it always has been, and will remain, this is for you, Dainere.
