We are truly humbled, grateful, and overjoyed to announce that the Dainere’s Rainbow Team were able to give the truly special and meaningful gift of hope to every child diagnosed with brain cancer in Canberra and around Australia through our Christmas Lights and Stall in 2024, elevating significant and impactful awareness and raising an astronomical December total of $19,435.00 which included online donations and the Andante Andante ABBA Choir Event.
After losing many lights over the past few years there were some special and captivating new additions especially the snow globe inflatable; which many of the visitors to the lights were in awe of and thought was extraordinary, they were also again enjoyed photographic opportunities with Santa and the sleigh on the porch. There was a wonderful surprise for all those who visited and took the time to walk up to view the lights of a Christmas Train weaving its way along the track amongst the lights and bubbles. With the pure delight visitors to dipped into Santa’s sack for a small gift.
On Christmas Eve those visiting the lights were treated to the most unique entertainment with the Tesla Christmas Light Show with immense gratitude to Monique and Mark for this. The cars lights, door, boot and windows becoming interactive to a fabulous assortment of Christmas Tunes. The show was repeated several times as more and more people stopped to watch.
In 2024 we were also excited and proud of the spectacular stalls, which were originally Dainere’s creation and something she put innumerable hours into. Several families with beaming smiles, took home items to treasure, including Anthony Christmas Bear Book by Jarrett Anthoney, Christmas Candle Holders, Shell Jars, Scrunchies, Knitted and Crocheted Items, Toys, Guitars, Tee-Shirts, Jewellery, Craft Kits, Christmas Ornaments, Household Items and Collectables knowing that they had contributed to making a difference and bringing the gift of hope for Christmas.
We wish to extend our most heartfelt and sincere gratitude to several people: Patricia for her most stunning handmade Christmas Cards; Emma, Bec, Catherine, Dawn, Esther, Georgia, Gillian, Karen, Katie, Lauren, Rebecca, Ruth and Silvia who are so extraordinarily creative for making the various awesome craft and gift items meeting at Pulp Book Café to do this; Monique, Mark and Annie for the beautiful brand new/unused/unwanted items to sell; Bron for the beautiful rainbow earrings and angels; Wendy for her absolutely delightful knitted items; Amy for several incredible items; Jannene and family who visit the lights from QLD every year and so kindly donated items as well; John, Bernadette, Anabelle and Madeleine for the train for the display and to those in the Community who visited the lights, purchased from the stalls, made a coin or online donation and those who wanted to learn more and how they could help raise more awareness.
Together we can continue to bring hope and create change for children diagnosed with brain tumours and one day see Dainere’s greatest wish in life of a cure become a reality.
We hope to see you again and raise even more awareness and funds for Christmas 2025.
