Luton Charity Golf Day Raised $7500.00 each for Three Canberra Charities

Luton Properties held their Inaugural Charity Golf Day on the 12th May 2023 at The Gungahlin Lakes Golf Course. Luton Properties have a long history of working closely with Canberra Charities to raise funds through events.

Dainere’s Rainbow were so honoured, grateful and humbled to have been chosen as one of the three hardworking Canberra Charities chosen for this event.

After some unusually cold Canberra Autumn Days prior to the event, the sun shone the brightest on Friday 12th May. There were over 90 eager participants in the Golf Day, and what a day it was, so many smiles, friendly competition and generosity.

We had the privilege of being there to see the competitors receive their ‘goody’ bags and head off in their respective golf buggies onto the course and then to welcome them back in on their return. Speaking to the competitors so many have wonderful stories to tell from the day and were genuinely delighted to be there to support the Charities.

During the afternoon at the presentation, we were able to speak to about Dainere, Dainere’s Rainbow and the important and impactful work we do. We wish to express our endless gratitude to Nick, Rachel, Stephanie and all involved in organising and holding the event, so much work went into the day, and to the amazing competitors and the Sponsors of the event.  It was a significant and meaningful event.

The funds raised go to research programs and projects set up in memory of and as a legacy to Dainere at Sydney Children’s Hospital to help bring hope and create change for children in Canberra and around Australia diagnosed with childhood brain cancer, the number one disease killer of children in our Country.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land where we meet and work, the Ngunnawal people, and the many other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples from across Australia who have now made Canberra their home. We celebrate and respect their continuing culture and the contribution they make to the life of the ACT and region.
