A Special Day At The Sutton Village Country Markets


A Day of Heart and Hope at Sutton Village Country Markets.

On 12th October, the Dainere’s Rainbow stall graced the Sutton Village Country Markets, radiating warmth, beauty, and inspiration. Although the day brought gusty winds and smaller crowds due to the closing weekend of Floriade, the stall captivated visitors with an exquisite collection of handmade creations, each crafted with care and love.

Every purchase offered more than a treasured item; it offered hope to children in Canberra and across Australia diagnosed with brain cancer, funding vital research and bringing comfort to families facing the most unimaginable challenges.

Special gratitude is extended to Patricia, Wendy, Emma, and family whose splendiferous contributions brought the stall to life and touched the hearts of all who visited. The generosity of the community continued to shine with offers to create items for future markets and to provide ongoing support to this vital cause.

We extend heartfelt appreciation to Yolanda and Sandie, the phenomenal organisers of these extraordinary markets.

The day was a luminous reminder that acts of kindness, no matter how small, ripple outward with profound impact. Together, the community is a beacon of hope and compassion for children and families affected by childhood brain cancer.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land where we meet and work, the Ngunnawal people, and the many other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples from across Australia who have now made Canberra their home. We celebrate and respect their continuing culture and the contribution they make to the life of the ACT and region.
