City2Surf 2024

11 August 2024
C2S 2024

“I have been running in the City2Surf since 2013  as a meaningful and special initiative and something Dainere and I planned together to help bring hope, cease suffering and see a cure for childhood brain cancer and now every year I continue her legacy and raise funds in memory of my inspiring little sister, Dainere, who devastatingly died from brain cancer on 24th  June, 2013 aged just 15.

Racing and raising desperately required awareness and crucial funds for childhood brain cancer for Dainere’s Rainbow and supporting Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation is something I have diligently and passionately done since then and plan to continue to do for many years to come.

No children or their families should so unjustly suffer or face a lifetime of loss, grief and heartache because of such a horrific disease, that receives so little funding or support.

This is my 11th City2Surf and over that time, I am humbled and honoured to have raised a remarkable $90, 136.11 in this event and this year for City2Surf 2024 I would be exceedingly grateful and hoping that you may support my  fundraising to take me over the $100,000 raised!

Even a donation of $2 means so much or if you are not in the position to donate, then please share my page with everyone you know, because together we can make a difference.”

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land where we meet and work, the Ngunnawal people, and the many other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples from across Australia who have now made Canberra their home. We celebrate and respect their continuing culture and the contribution they make to the life of the ACT and region.

Dainere's Rainbow is a not for profit organisation - 100% of all funds raised or donated go to paediatric brain tumour research at Sydney Children's Hospital
